Thompson giving serious consideration to running

On Monday, Fred Thompson held a conference call with a core group of supporters to let them know he was giving serious consideration to running for US president in 2008. He will also be setting up an initial exploratory committee that will be able to start accepting donations on June 4. If all goes well, we will hopefully be able to get an official candidacy announcement around July 4.
