Fred Thompson interviews video - Maryland State Fair
Aug 28th, 2007 by Ted Pibil
I just uploaded our latest video where we interviewed people from all across Maryland at the 126th State Fair. The hot issues for a lot of them were immigration, national defense and the need for leadership. It’s great to hear the perspectives from different people to try to get a grasp about what really is important to voters across the state.
We are going to give out over 600 bumper stickers and buttons at the fair and, once again, people seem to really respond to Fred Thompson and are excited about the idea of him running for President!

Ted!
Great job. I was happy and proud to participate in the video. There is no doubt that we will be able to further organize and run a strong grassroots campaign in Maryland. Thanks for your leadership on the technology side of the campaign.
Well done Ted!! Straight forward positive talk from the supporters…great job!
Great video; I just wish I could get out to the fair this year.
Ted,
Well done! Take a bow! You really went all out to show your support for Fred at the Maryland fair. Perhaps, others will be able to take your lead and do the same. Good to see all those supporters for Fred, too. Some of them had done their homework.
Ted, Awesome job! I am really sorry I missed out! Maybe next time.
Everyone sounded great!
Great video!
It is nice to see Republicans out and about at the MD State Fair.
I hope that Fred Thompson helps steer our party back to fundamental roots of less government, lower taxes, and empowerment of individuals to help make a difference in their own communities!

I’m 100% for McCain, but I can’t help but be impressed by your effort and enthusiasm.
Guys!!! Great idea — good music — liked the video of the fair. But you only showed EIGHT WHITE MEN!!! That’s NOT where the election will be won or lost. Bob Ehrlich stopped by our GOP golf outing yesterday and noted what is and should be critical to any of us supporting Fred Thompson (or any Republican candidate) — we are losing election ON THE WOMEN’S VOTE! As one (a woman), I know how true that is, and why it’s happening. And it doesn’t help our candidate to make a widely-disbursed (You-Tube) video that only airs the opinion of white men! In fact, it might even have the opposite effect! Yes, the primary comes first, but keeping the ultimate goal in mind, please make an effort to broaden the base of Thompson supporters in any media effort. Many thanks for listening.
Trent,
I could not agree with you more. Please remember that this is a grassroots effort and that our interviewees have to allow us to video tape them. Not everyone is comfortable in front of a camera, so they don’t all say yes even if they love Fred. We don’t pre-select the individuals - we just send out a “casting call” and also ask passers-by.
If you are willing, the next time we video tape an event, please come by and we will get you on camera.
