(Columbus) - The Ohio Republican Party announced today the results of its 2007 Presidential Straw Poll, declaring former U.S. Sen. Fred Thompson the winner with 33 percent of the vote.

Rasmussen Reports has just released its latest Republican primary poll from Florida. Giuliani is still on top at 29% but Senator Thompson is closing fast in second place at 23%. Contrast this from just one month ago, the same survey had Giuliani with a 13 point lead. Remember, Florida is Giuliani’s firewall state.
