Reaction to Pajamas Media Interview
Nov 19th, 2007 by Ted Pibil
- The Sundries Shack:
Pajamas Media got to sit down with Thompson for a while and talk to him in depth about terrorism and the war we’re fighting against the Islamists. It’s a good interview and he said a lot of things that just make good sense to me.
- The Scratching Post:
it’s another great performance by Fred where he emphasizes being honest about the costs and sacrifices necessary to defeat the terrorists. He has a bunch of great points.
- No Looking Backwards:
The fact that this man isn’t leading in every presidential poll out there is just mind-boggling to me.
- Sissy Willis:
What a soothing, thoughtful presence Mr. Thompson comes across as.
- Vince:
It’s obvious that Fred Thompson has thought these matters through on national security, and he is sober and realistic about dealing Islamofacists in Iran.
I hope enough people can see that Fred would make the ideal president- deliberative, measured in his words, while speaking the truth unapologetically.
- Tennman:
I found the interview to be thorough and thought-provoking. It’s not an interview that would lend itself to a 15- or 30-second sound bite. It’s an adult conversation with FTD having a clear understanding of the war we face.
- Connie:
Fred Thompson has it exactly right. Do not trust North Korea. It is probably impossible to deal with the current religious regime in Iran, but we need to watch for proper opportunities. We need to hear the voices of non-violent Muslims, not CAIR propaganda. We need to support those who have the courage to stand up and speak out against Islamofascism and Islamism. We need to rebuild Americans’ desire to stand up and serve their country so we can protect ourselves, our country, and liberate people around the world who live under totalitarian regimes.
